The goal set by MFA for FIM 2024 is to achieve a sales value of RM600 million.

LFM Newsroom - February 7, 2024

On January 22, in Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA) unveiled its ambitious goal of achieving a sales target of RM600 million for the forthcoming Franchise International Malaysia Exhibition and Conference 2024 (FIM2024), slated to take place from May 29 to June 1, 2024. MFA President Datuk Radzali Hassan disclosed that more than 70 percent of the 240 available booths have already been secured by franchise companies and various organizations. Noteworthy is the event’s ability to attract exhibitors from countries such as Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, China, India, and the United Arab Emirates.

Radzali stressed the significance of engagement in such initiatives to enhance and broaden business networks both locally and internationally, as he spoke to attendees during the pre-launch of FIM2024. He also underscored that FIM2024 will serve as the venue for the annual meetings of the Asia Pacific Franchise Confederation (APFC) and the World Franchise Council (WFC), drawing representatives from franchise associations across over 40 countries, alongside the Franchise Award Night 2024.

In regards to the National Franchise Policy 2030, slated for unveiling in the first quarter of the year, Radzali expressed MFA’s full support, believing it will further strengthen the industry. FIM2024 enjoys strong backing from the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, as well as the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation.
