RIYADH: NEOM, the groundbreaking development project in Saudi Arabia, has inaugurated its inaugural international office in London, marking a significant step in expanding its global presence. The establishment, located in Chancery House in Holborn’s central district, will serve as a pivotal hub for NEOM’s business activities across Europe.
The opening ceremony was led by Saudi Ambassador to the UK, Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan, alongside the Rt Hon Oliver Dowden CBE MP, Deputy Prime Minister of the UK, and NEOM CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr. This strategic move reflects NEOM’s commitment to fostering collaborations with UK entities, building on successful partnerships that have already been established.
As NEOM’s first international office, the London branch will play a crucial role in supporting and expanding NEOM’s business ventures throughout Europe. It aims to strengthen existing relationships with partners, investors, and stakeholders while cultivating new connections in alignment with NEOM’s vision for global progress and innovation.
Prince Khalid bin Bandar emphasized NEOM’s transformative goals, stating, “NEOM aims to transform how people around the world live and work, and the opening of its office in London provides a platform to introduce the project and its global importance to UK investors, organizations, and innovators who share its vision and ethos.”
The NEOM office in London will facilitate the identification of future collaboration opportunities and will contribute to NEOM’s mission to address global challenges by redefining livability, business practices, and conservation efforts.
Oliver Dowden highlighted the significance of the milestone, stating, “This is an important milestone, integrating NEOM with London’s finance and tech ecosystems, with the potential for London to become NEOM’s second home for design and project management, promoting investment and growth across the UK.”
NEOM CEO, Nadhmi Al-Nasr, expressed the importance of establishing a global footprint and working with leading minds worldwide to address pressing global challenges. London, as the chosen location for NEOM’s first international office, aligns with the broader strategy of consolidating the project’s presence in the United Kingdom and Europe.
The leadership of the new NEOM Europe entity will be entrusted to Abdallah Alhazani, who will assume the role of CEO. Alhazani, currently an executive director of Oxagon, previously served as an executive director of the NEOM Investment Fund.
